WHO WE ARE
Needham Chalks has been in operation for over 70 years.
The first chalk was dug from the Needham Market quarry in 1947 when chalk was dug by hand and moved by 5t lorries.
In the original days the lime trade was primarily for the use in agriculture, particularly in the post war period as there was a drive for food production. Farmers then became more and more aware of soil fertility and management and realised the importance of this valuable resource to maximising their yields.
WHAT WE DO
Today, Needham Chalks Ltd offers a comprehensive soil nutrition service starting with detailed soil sampling through to supply and spreading of a range of lime and fertilisers.
We have been the official supplier of Fibrophos fertiliser throughout East Anglia for around 30 years and continue to supply and excellent range of effective, renewable fertilisers.
Our FACTS-qualified advisors deliver tailored fertiliser recommendations based on your soil analysis, helping you achieve the best possible yield.
We also supply a range of chalk products for industrial, aquatic and domestic purposes, as well as whole and knapped flint for construction and landscaping.
