NuCal is a granulated lime produced in East Anglia by Needham Chalks.

Unlike other granulated limes NuCal is derived from natural soft chalk with no added chemical binders. Granules are 2 to 5mm in size and are supplied in 600kg bags to achieve maximum transport economy and less packaging.

NuCal has been developed for spreading through standard farm fertiliser spreaders thus enabling farmers to apply the product themselves.

Granulated limes are best suited for application to correct slightly acid soil or as a maintenance dressing to replace seasonal soil lime losses. Application rates for NuCal are typically in the range of 300 to 1,000kg per hectare depending on soil ph and soil type.
